bulgaria:
1] everyone i met is friendly & relaxed, but, deep down inside, concerned about the economy & the shrinking population. economic depression is happening like woah.
2] drafts & wet hair are as much a worry here as they are amongst my family.
3] i don’t speak bulgarian, but russian is good enough. i understand and am understood, sort of.
4] the mountains are short but lovely. there are wild horses (i saw 10 live ones & 1 dead pony), poorly marked trails, and wooden huts with cheap tasty meals served by elderly materteral women.
me:
1] i’m at a train station, waiting for a 24 hour train to lvov to arrive.
2] it is midnight.
3] exhaustion is making my bones feel flimsy.
4] the new mountain goats album is stuck in my head.
5] i wonder what YOU are doing right now.
i am breastfeeding my giant baby (while typing w one hand) and waiting for the cloth diapers to finish in the dryer!! :)

having just unloaded 27 boxes (BIG boxes, not little ones from the store) of condoms and lube and dental dams from my car, and trying to figure out where to put them at work, i’m enjoying a glimpse of you from a far and looking forward to being close together again.

I just Misha down and I’m thinking of ways to get him to stop non-nonchalantly pushing other tots. I’m also avoiding studying, probably because I’m still asking myself if it’s worth it. I’m also thinking about how I should be ashamed of myself for thinking 25 is old.

Having slept off a strange dizziness, I am now trying to find where I put that bag of mint tea I was going to make myself. Also, ordering comfortable underwear on Amazon.
